Remote site shelters designed and engineered to customer requirements
Our purpose‑built shelters are built to withstand environments where traditional infrastructure cannot survive.
Remote and isolated locations
High fire risk zones
Mountainous terrain
Cyclone and severe weather regions
A fully engineered, modular communications site designed for rapid deployment into remote, isolated and high-risk environments. Built for extreme durability, it delivers reliable connectivity when and where it matters most. Every component is designed from the ground up for high performance, resilience and long‑term reliability.
Its modular architecture allows multiple configurations to be designed and built to customer specifications by our Australian engineering team. Scalable variants in size & structure support applications such as RBS hubs, Communication equipment rooms (CER) , power generation sites, remote data centre and switch rooms. Fit outs and inclusions may include:
Equipment racks / Battery racks
Power system / Batteries / Generators
Air conditioning
Fire protection systems / Air locks
The CSS is engineered for survivability, with enhanced fire protection options that enable assets to withstand bushfires and return to normal operation quickly. BAL rated shelters are available from BAL LOW through to BAL FZ and FRL120/120/120.
A containerised, pre integrated design enables rapid installation and commissioning, reducing onsite time, cost and risk. This approach also supports fast restoration or replacement of infrastructure following natural disasters such as fires, floods or earthquakes. Built in accordance with AS3958:2009 and Commtel’s quality systems, the RSS protects critical equipment during emergencies and performs reliably in extreme conditions.
Its compact footprint and above ground substructures minimise ground disturbance, reduce environmental impact and lower rehabilitation costs—ideal for mining and other sensitive locations. With renewable energy options, robust equipment, extended run times and remote SNMP monitoring, ongoing maintenance is minimal.
Above‑ground steel substructures minimise ground impact
Concrete or steel piers elevate sites in flood prone areas
Roof mounted solar options for constrained sites
Pre cabled solar arrays reduce onsite time and installation risk
